Here are a fewvideos of Bongo making his signature "boing" call. For some reason, he usually makes the call when he's competing against some loud mechanical noises, so they're often within the soundscape of heavy rain, a car going by or a lawn mower starting up!

A SERIES OF UNUSUAL CROW CALLS

Bongo is not the only crow who makes unusual calls during breeding season.

A few other crows in the neighbourhood have specific calls they only use at this time of year. 

Bongo is the first and last crow in this series of clips.

The second crow in the series is Dennis followed by a crow I haven't named making a Bongo-inspired bong-oo call. 

Next is White Wing, making a few "woof" calls followed by a soulful "miaow."

Second to last of the crow calls is from Brunhilde, one of Bongo and Bella's 2024 fledglings. Chip off the old block!
